Home Decor - Fireplace Screens & Accessories
Fireplace screens are an essential safety feature that add both function and style. These enchanting surrounds can either highlight or cloak a firebox opening. Many are designed with an open weave pattern that allows the fire to be seen through the screen while others act as a cover or door. They make lovely embellishments if your fireplace wasn't installed with a mesh screen or spark guard to keep sparks and embers from escaping, or even if it came with standard glass fronts. Contemporary and European styles offer ample opportunity to blend with your home's interior or amp up your gas, wood, or outdoor fireplace.
Our selection of intricately detailed folding screens can provide beauty and warmth for any fireplace. There is quite a bit of flexibility in determining the best size of decorative screen for a particular fireplace opening so the following information is intended as a guide only. There are other factors to consider such as scale of the room, hearth size, mantle size, shape, and location, etc. Let your own judgment be your best guide -"beauty is in the eye of the beholder".
There is also flexibility in how tall the screen should be. Some customers prefer them 2-3" below the opening while others prefer 2-3" above the opening. We are not able to change the height of our patterns, but sometimes can vary placement of feet on a French screen or even add feet to a paneled screen for additional height.
